GRAD COMMITTEE 2010

The Grad 2010 organizing committees and their respective members have been been formed. Some still require student involvement. If you are interested in joining please contact Ms. Holitzki (250.354.5406) as soon as possible. We always need volunteers!

INFORMATION UPDATE (APRIL)

Fashion Show & Silent Auction is Wed, April 28th. For more information, people can contact Shelley Adams, Louise Poole, or Marie Zak. Tickets are now on sale in the school and at Eddy’s Music for $10/person or $20/family. Silent auction items are still being collected in the office.
Grad Talent Show is on Tuesday, May 18th. Tickets will be $12 and will be sold in the next couple of weeks. The event is still looking for talented students to showcase their talents – if you’re interested, sign up at the office as soon as possible.
Memorabilia this year will be a T-shirt and a water bottle, both with the grad logo. The memorabilia will be given out at some point on grad weekend.
The reception will happen before the Grand March, at the arena, with some snacks for grads and their dates.
Photos for grad will occur before Grand March, with the group photo and elementary photos occurring between the reception and Grand March.
Calvalcade – starts at 4:00 p.m. Grads are encouraged to “go green” and ride bicycles for the calvalcade. More information to follow.
Finally, lots of volunteers are still needed. Grade 11 parents are being contacted, and grads, we need your help as well. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Michelle Parker at 250.352.9202.

GRAND MARCH TICKET SALES

NOTE: YOU CANNOT PURCHASE YOUR GRAND MARCH TICKETS UNTIL ALL GRAD FEES ARE PAID IN FULL!

WHERE: LVR

WHEN: During lunch hour in the multi-purpose room

DATES: April 13, 14, 15 & April 20, 21, 22 & April 27, 28, 29

COST: Each student is given TWO FREE tickets with additional tickets at $10 each UP TO A MAXIMUM OF FIVE (5) tickets. At the time of purchase, students can request to be put on a waiting list for additional tickets.

PAYMENT: Cash or cheque (made out to LVR) at time of sale.

Please ensure that these valuable tickets are kept in a safe spot!

Friday, June 4th @ NDCC

5:30 p.m. Doors open
5:45 p.m. ALL grads must be at arena
6:45 p.m. Cap and Gown Ceremony begins*

*NOTE: First come, first served seating as there are no tickets for this free event!

Saturday, June 5th

12:00 p.m. Students assemble at arena
12:45 p.m. Grad Reception @ Nelson Community Complex (grad and dates). Coffee, tea, and water will be provided for parents and guests
12:30 p.m. Grad photos (group & couples)
2:00 p.m. Grand March (admission by ticket only)
4:00 p.m. Cavalcade (which starts in parking lot of Community Complex and winds around Nelson)
8:00 p.m. Prom @ Prestige Inn (grads & their dates)
