  • We acknowledge, respect and honour the first nations in whose traditional territories the school district operates, and all aboriginal people residing within the boundaries of SD8.


  • Reminder to the Intercultural Ambassadors Club that we will meet today in room 211 at 11:40. New members are still welcome.


  • LVR’s Rotary interact club is putting together our first of many winter fundraisers. Starting off the season with the sock and boot fundraiser for the homeless. We kindly ask if people could donate gently used winter boots and brand new socks in hopes of providing warmth this winter to those in need. There will be boxes at LVR outside the office as well as posters all over the school. With over 200 families in Nelson alone living below the poverty line, a pair of warm socks and boots could really help them out this coming winter.


  • Are you looking to spruce up your home for the winter holidays? Why drive all the way to Blewett in the cold, wet, snowy weather, when you can pick up your favorite holiday poinsettias at LV Rogers Secondary School? The dance department is selling a variety of holiday poinsettias that will be available for pick up in the courtyard Thursday December 9 th , between 3:30 – 5:30 pm.


  • With a wide variety of festive colors and decorative baskets, we guarantee we have the plant for you. All plants must be ordered by Friday, November 26th . Prices include tax. Please make all cheques payable to LV Rogers Secondary School. Credit card payments can be made online at . All proceeds will help to support LVR’s Dance Program offset production costs, master classes, artistic residencies, festival entries and more.


  • Breakfast wraps and lunches are prepared for those that pre-ordered, but we do have a limited number of extras for those that did not pre-order, as well as muffins and snacks throughout the day.
