SD8 Welcomes a New Vice-Principal for Creston Homelinks

School District 8 – Kootenay Lake is pleased to announce a new Vice-Principal for Homelinks.  Jennifer Adams will be stepping up to assist in the leadership role.  “Homelinks, across the district, is now one of our largest schools, and the time has come to support it more fully. With sites in Kaslo, Nelson, having an additional school leader will help Principal Simpson to, more frequently, support our other Homelinks sites as well. We want to build capacity across the district and Jenn’s commitment to Homelinks will help us do so. She is extremely familiar with the community, having served as a teacher at Homelinks for the past 5 years,” states Superintendent Perkins.

Jennifer Adams is originally from a small farming community in southern Manitoba, but has spent several years living in both Alberta and BC until settling in Creston in 2013. Jennifer has been teaching high school math and science for 7 years and has enjoyed her past 5 years at Creston Homelinks School. Jennifer completed her Bachelor of Science at University of Victoria in 2010, Bachelor of Education at Brandon University in 2013 and Master of Education at University of British Columbia in 2018. In her spare time you can find Jennifer acting in the local drama club, singing in the local choir or paddling down the river in her yellow kayak. Jennifer is looking forward to continuing her work with parents, staff and students in her new role as Vice Principal of Homelinks.
