Learning to Lead Program
What is the Youth Leadership Award?
Launched in 2018, the Youth Leadership Award recognizes an outstanding alumna from the most recent Learning to Lead™ cohort. This award is presented to the recipient in October and includes a $1000 bursary toward the recipient’s educational and leadership journey. All Learning to Lead™ participants are eligible to apply.
What is the Shad Canada Summer Program?
This experiential program is offered at university campuses across Canada and has benefited more than 22,000 Shads who are part of our alumni network. With a limited number of spots available every year, there is a selection process in place to determine participants. Shad Canada now offers a widespread STEAM and entrepreneurship program for grade 10 & 11 students. For more information, click here.
How to apply for L2L:
If you feel that one of your students may benefit from attending our Learning to Lead program, I encourage you to share our website, where students may apply: https://minervabc.ca/learning-to-lead/.
The deadline for registration is March 31st. We make Selections on a rolling basis, we encourage youth to get their application in early!
Learning to Lead Spring will take place via Zoom over four sessions on Wednesdays in April from 6-8 pm PST:

There is no cost to participants. Our donors and sponsors cover all program costs; they believe in the leadership potential of youth.
Please note, that there is no limit to how many students a school can put forward for this opportunity. Indigenous students are strongly encouraged to apply.
I’ve re-attached a one-pager for more information or if you wish to hang it somewhere in your school.
