LV Rogers Professional Development Day on October 21 consisted of various professional learnings throughout the school, including Aboriginal Education professional learning. 

Teachers and administrators from across the district joined in the LVR sewing room to partake in the creation of traditional ribbon shirts and skirts. Participants worked collaboratively to create and sew beautiful projects that reflected traditional pieces worn by our ancestors. In addition, teachers participated in professional learning around the First Peoples Principals of Learning, Beadwork, Indigenous Resources for Physical Literacy, and other workshops put on by the University of Alberta, University of British Columbia, Indigenous Canada and The First Nations Education Steering Committee.
