LVR Weekly Update - 30Sep23

Image

Good day out there, LVR Community.

A big Thank You to LVR/SD8 Indigenous Success Teacher, Naomi Legg, along with our guests, Elder Donna & Elder Don, for stepping forward to lead our Truth & Reconciliation Assembly yesterday.  This assembly was a mix of seriousness & playfulness that are both so important in moving forward in learning more about the Truth and moving forward towards Reconciliation.  Be sure to ask your student(s) what the new welcome to Nelson signs say.

Also big Thank-You's to all who have been involved in working through the many details connected to our September 30th '1701 form submission', which is a rather large process to be sure all is correct with our enrollment across many programs that determines our actual funding for this year at the district and school level.  Whew!  Now onward to the many other brilliant projects that come our way.

In the name of taking care of each other, cyclists & e-bikers, please be sure to wear a helmet while riding and follow the rules of the road - and dismount while on LVR property.

The continuous application process is open until all the funds are distributed.

Please encourage your youth learners to apply.

Take care, everyone.
