LVR Weekly Update - 16Nov2025

Hello LVR Families,
 

I will try to keep the blog a bit shorter this week. Basketball tryouts are underway and teams are starting to practice for the upcoming season. If your child is interested in trying out for a basketball team, now's the time to get out there!

 

We will be posting students’ report cards to the family portal on Wednesday, November 19th at the end of the school day. I will send out another reminder with instructions on how to log into the family portal early in the week. If you have any questions regarding your child’s report card, please don’t hesitate to reach out to their teachers.

We still have lots of Fine arts events coming up:

Visual Arts - Next time you are in the building come down to 1st floor and check out gorgeous framed portraits as well as charcoal skeletons just in time for Halloween

Dance - November 22  Dance Educators Showcase at Capitol Theatre Dance Academy students are performing November 22  proceeds of this concert go to community members who might need financial assistance to take dance classes 

Drama -  November 27th and 28th Theatre Production class presents our Term 1 show: The REAL INSPECTOR HOUND, a mysterious comedy in the LVR Performing Arts Space

Band -  December 11th - Winter concert - 6:00pm at LVR 

 

Announcements...   

Drop-in immunization clinics will be held at LVR on November 18, 19, and 20 during lunchtime (11:00 AM–1:00 PM) in Room 107.
Mature minor consent will be accepted in accordance with provincial regulations.
All students are welcome.

 

Please note: Influenza And Covid-19 vaccines will not be offered at the school.

 

The LV Dance program is starting its annual Poinsettia fundraiser! All proceeds will help to support LVR’s Dance Program offset production costs, master classes, artistic residencies, lo festival entries, travel and more. Each purchase helps fund production costs, master classes, artistic residencies, festival entries, travel, and more. Click on the link below for further details and ordering information.
