LVR Weekly Update - 27May23

Good day out, LVR Community. 

In celebration of our active youth and the adults who support them in their involvements...

Congratulations to the Kootenay Bombers club girls' volleyball team for their silver medal finish in the U18 Youth National Championships in Calgary! For more details, please visit https://lvr.sd8.bc.ca/news/kootenay-bombers-silver-medal-nationals.

This past week also included our ATLAS students away on the Skaha climbing trip - with upcoming trips to hike the Juan de Fuca Trail and paddle Kootenay Lake - and a Physics experiential learning trip to Silverwood. 

All the best to our girls' soccer and rugby teams at BC School Sports Provincials on the coast this coming week and to our golf team in upcoming regional tournaments.

  • LVR Graduation Website - Be sure to visit https://lvr.sd8.bc.ca/graduation/lvr for all event details and due dates!

  • Grad 2023 Yearbooks ordering is now open.  Cost is $20 and is the books are planned to be shipped in late June before the end of school. Please pay either through our online payment tool at https://lvr.sd8.bc.ca/pay or in-person at the office.  If using the online payment tool, please be sure to include a space in your postal code (XXX XXX) and note that the payment is for ‘Grad Yearbook for _______’ (student name).  Orders will close on Friday June 2nd.

  • Grad Weekend Events

    • Cap & Gown Dress Rehearsal for all Grads - Thursday, June 8 at 3:30

    • Cap & Gown Ceremony - school organized - Friday, June 9 at 7:00 in the LVR Gym.  Tickets required and have been picked up at the office.

    • Cavalcade - parent group organized - Saturday, June 10 at 3:00

      • Gr. 11 Parent Volunteering - LVR has a tradition of grade 11 parents volunteering for the cavalcade so that grade 12 parents can enjoy the event.  Sign up at https://volunteersignup.org/FDMJ9

    • Grand March down Baker Street - parent group organized - Saturday, June 10 following Cavalcade

    • Gala at Prestige - parent group organized - Saturday, June 10 at 6:30

  • Bottle Returns: Take your empties to the bottle depot and donate your return to LVR Grad 2023.

  • 50/50 Raffle tickets NOW SOLD OUT!

    • Talent Show will also feature the 50/50 draw and silent auction, prizes include:
