Hello LVR Families,

 

Our cross-country squad had some amazing results on the island this past weekend at the Provincial championships. Here are a few of the results: Dawson Abraham came 3rd overall for AA boys, Ruby Nay came 6th overall for AA girls, and the LVR Girls got the bronze medal for overall team results. Team members include Ruby Nay, Aleah Smith, Jacqueline Willard and Avran Fisher. Go Grizz!!

Visual Arts - Next time you are in the building come down to 1st floor and check out gorgeous framed portraits as well as charcoal skeletons just in time for Halloween
Band-  November 10th The LVR Bands are currently preparing to play for Remembrance Day assembly as well as hosting a Purdy's fundraiser to raise some money to attend festivals in the spring. 

Dance - November 22  Dance Educators Showcase at Capitol Theatre Dance Academy students are performing November 22  proceeds of this concert go to community members who might need financial assistance to take dance classes 

Drama -  November 27th and 28th Theatre Production class presents our Term 1 show: The REAL INSPECTOR HOUND, a mysterious comedy in the LVR Performing Arts Space

 

Our Remembrance day ceremony will be on Monday. Please take a look at the adjusted block schedule below for the shape of the day. A reminder that Tuesday is the Remembrance Day stat holiday, so there will be no school.

Announcements...   

 

The LV Rogers Student Trustees would like to hear from our students! This year the school district is focussing on mental health support for students. As part of this work, our student trustees are asking students to fill out a short google form so that we can get more information about what matters most to LV students. Please check in with your student and, if they are comfortable, have them fill out the form linked HERE:

 

The LV Dance program is starting its annual Poinsettia fundraiser! All proceeds will help to support LVR’s Dance Program offset production costs, master classes, artistic residencies, lo festival entries, travel and more.
