LVR Weekly Update - April 19th2026
Hello LVR families,
There has been a bit of confusion about the block rotation for the week coming up. We have had to alter the block rotation this week to give extra time to those students taking their Literacy 12 provincial assessments, as well as the early dismissal days. Please see below for the block rotation for the week:
Students will write their Literacy 12 assessments with their English 12 / AP English 12 classes during the double blocks on Monday and Tuesday.
Students not currently enrolled in one of these courses but, missing one of their Provincial Assessments (Literacy 12, Literacy 10, or Numeracy 10), are able to complete these assessments during make-up sessions in the Library later this week.
The times of these sessions are:
Wednesday, April 22nd - 11:10-2:10
Thursday, April 23rd - 8:40-11:40
Friday, April 24th- 12:20-3:10
Any students who wish to complete a makeup assessment on these days must email Mr. Wyllie and our wonderful office clerical staff member, Jules, at clerical.lvr2@sd8.bc.ca to ensure they are registered to complete the session.
Students will be dismissed an hour early at 2:10pm on April 22nd and 23rd for the early dismissal days. Buses will also be an hour earlier than their usual pick up times, so please plan accordingly.
Speaking of buses, Bus registrations for the 2026 - 2027 school year are now open! 2026/27 School Bus Registration Deadline: June 12, 2026.
Applications received after the deadline will be considered only if space is available on routes as scheduled. All students requesting SD8 school busing privileges MUST register annually.
