LVR Weekly Update - Feb152026

Hello LVR families, 

Each February, people across Canada participate in Black History Month events and celebrations that honour the legacy and contributions of Black people in Canada and their communities. More information can be found on the government of Canada website linked HERE.

In addition to classroom activities this month, LVR students have organized a scavenger hunt-style activity with histories of living and past Black people who have achieved substantial things posted around the school. Students are invited to pick up an entry form, find the posters around the school record the information, and submit their entry for a chance to win a prize.

In case you missed the last LVR Grad closet, check out the pictures below for the next opening. Also, on February 20th, a seamstress will be available to make any alterations needed.

Believe it or not, we are already starting to plan for next year. Students will select their courses for the 2026-2027 school year during the week before Spring Break. We are still working out the details, but we are planning to host parent information nights in the last week of February (Feb 23rd - 27th). Stay tuned to the blog in the next few weeks as we finalize next year’s course offerings.

  • Family Day Stat - February 16th - No School
  • PAC Meeting - February 18th @ 6:30pm in room 211
  • Last week of February - Course Selection parent information nights - More details and dates coming soon!
  • First week of March - Grade-wide meetings regarding course selection for the 2026-2027 school year.
  • Week of March 9th - 13th - Student course selection. More details to come!
  • Spring Break - March 14th - 29th. First day back from Spring Break - March 30th  
  • LVR Health Hub is still running Mondays at LV.
