Happy mothers day flowers shaped like a heart

Hello LVR families,

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope that you were able to get your LVR Dance flowers ordered in time, but if not, there’s always next year.

Congratulations to the LVR Jazz and Concert bands who played to a sold out crowd at the Capitol Theatre on Friday night.

Speaking of the Capitol Theatre, the Grad talent show is on for May 13th. Click the link to get your tickets!

On May 12th, we will be hosting a Grade 12 learning experience focused on road safety, decision-making, and prevention. As part of this program, several of our community partners, will be on site to support student learning sessions, including local emergency services such as ambulance, police, and Search and Rescue.

You may see emergency vehicles parked at or near the school during this time. Please note that this is planned and part of a scheduled school program, and not related to an emergency.

The presence of these partners allows students to learn about how emergency systems work, how decisions influence outcomes, and how to respond responsibly in real-world situations. Classes for other grade levels will continue as usual, and there is no impact on the regular school day beyond the presence of these vehicles.

Bus registrations for the 2026 - 2027 school year are now open! 2026/27 School Bus Registration Deadline: June 12, 2026. Applications received after the deadline will be considered only if space is available on routes as scheduled. All students requesting SD8 school busing privileges MUST register annually.
