Hello LVR families,

It was great to see all the families who came out for our Parent / Teacher conferences! Thank you to the staff as well for setting up, staying late, and hosting.

A reminder that it is a Provincial Pro-D day on Friday, October 23rd, so school will not be in session.

Did you know that over the first six weeks of school students at LV missed almost 1500 school days? That’s almost 8000 hours of instructional time! On the other hand, we also had over 250 students who have missed less than a day of school, and 150 who have missed less than a block so far!

All that to say, students who miss school tend to miss more school as deadlines and other pressures stack up. We all know that school is important, but missing even a few days a month really adds up. If you are getting a lot of absence notifications, talk to your teen. Please reach out to the school for help if your teen is struggling to get to class.
