Hello LVR families,

This week is jam-packed with events. We have a Halloween-themed event going on every day courtesy of our Rec Leadership class. Check out the “Coming up this week” section for more details.

LVR is also fortunate to be hosting a one-person play, Benevolence by Kevin Matthew Wong, on October 29th. Please take a look at the excerpt below for more details:

Benevolence by Kevin Matthew Wong

1 hour, including Q&A – Performed at your School!

• Grades: 8-12
• Curriculum Connections: Personal Awareness and Responsibility, Social Awareness and Responsibility, Critical Thinking and Reflective Thinking, Respectful Engagement with Diversity and Difference

What does it mean to belong? Kevin has always wondered about his roots. He is Hakka-Chinese (客家)— he thinks. When he receives an unexpected call asking him to take on a project about Hakka identity, Kevin is launched into a compelling journey, uncovering stories he never expected to find.

3 v 3 Basketball intramurals is starting Nov 4 and 5.  All students are welcome to sign up and Rec leadership will create the teams.
