A reminder that our Truth and Reconciliation assembly will be on Tuesday, September 29th. Students, remember to wear an Orange Shirt on Tuesday.
No school on Wednesday for the Truth and Reconciliation Day Stat Holiday.

Indigenous Student recruitment teams from post secondary institutions in BC & AB will be in the library at LVR October 7^th 830 am to 10 am. Please come down and connect with these people and grab some information about their programs, scholarships, and general information about their schools. 
 

A big shout-out to our cross country running team for their performance in the 4k race at Selkirk last week. Our senior girls swept the top five spots! A high five to Sadie, Gemma and Surja for podium performances, coming in 1st,  2^nd and 3^rd respectively. Well done to Clara, Lila and Fenja as well! 

Now that we are almost at the end of September, I thought that it would be a good time to give a shout out for student attendance. Being at school consistently helps students keep up with their learning, maintain connections with friends and teachers, and develop habits such as organization, time management, and responsibility that will serve them well beyond high school. Missing even two days of school each month adds up to almost a month of lost learning over the course of a year. We recognize that illness and unavoidable absences happen, and perfect attendance is not the goal. Rather, we want students, families, and the school to work together to make regular attendance a priority and address barriers when they arise.
