LVR Weekly Update - 18May25

Good May Long Weekend out there, LVR Community.
This week's pic comes from our Ceramics 11/12 class celebration for the recent pottery firing in which students received descriptive feedback from other students that was used to create a poem about each piece. Some students chose to share the poem about their piece with the rest of the class and I had the fortune of getting to listen to a couple of them.
Congratulations to our girls' soccer team who, once again, qualified for BC School Sports provincials at the end of May by winning the regional playdowns!
Biking students, please sure to wear helmets! There have been a number of bike accidents in Nelson over the past few years involving youth and helmets have prevented serious brain injuries.
Bussing families, be sure to read the announcement for registering for bussing for the 2025-26 school year. All students requesting SD8 school busing privileges MUST register annually.
Please see the updated schedule for LVR School Counsellors below and welcome to Ms. Claire Hewson who is with us on Wednesdays & Fridays.
