Good day out there, LVR Community.

One of the highlights of every week for me is getting to meet so many brilliant young people who are working hard and enjoying their many involvements, and experiencing how many adults are keen to support them.  Author, John Vaillant, was in the school speaking with one of our English classes this past Thursday prior to his Capitol Theatre presentation (https://www.nelsonstar.com/news/they-ran-for-their-lives-john-vaillant-to-speak-about-new-wildfire-book-in-nelson/) that I was fortunate to attend in with many others from across our community.  I have also had a couple meetings to start the year with individuals/organizations working on developing major scholarships for LVR students for post-secondary school.  Our Green Team, Student Council, and Interact Club all had their first meetings this past week, fall school sports are in full swing, and current LVR clubs are listed below.  Thanks to all for stepping up!
