Hello LVR Families,

We have just a week to go before our holiday break. A quick reminder that December 19th is the last day of classes before the holidays. Classes resume in the new year on January 5th.
The annual Grizzly Invitational Basketball Tournament was a success. The games were tough, but the fans came out, and LV ended up on top beating rivals Stanley Humphries in the finals. Check out the pic of the Championships team. Well done, boys!

There’s a lot going on to make the week before the break special. Big thanks to the Rec. Leadership team for all the planning and school spirit. Below is a list of a few of the things going on this week, including out Christmas Variety show on Friday:

Food Hamper Drive continues-  Collection ends and counting starts next THURSDAY afternoon. If you have some non-perishables hanging around the house, please consider bringing them to school to help support the food bank.  Thanks for your support and efforts!

Candy Gram sales continue until next Tuesday.
 

MONDAY- Elf on a Shelf: First student to snap a photo in the morning gets a prize.

TUESDAY- Wear your best Christmas sweater or PJs to school.

WEDNESDAY- Cookie Decorating in the MPR at lunch.

THURSDAY- OG Grinch Movie in room 106 at lunch with hot chocolate.

FRIDAY- Dress up in Christmas colours and Variety Show - Adjusted block schedule for the variety show to follow later this week.  
Gr 10 - wear WHITE, 
Gr 11 - wear GREEN, 
Gr 12 - wear RED.

Announcements
Trafalgar is running a winter market on December 17th from 5:00 - 8:00pm featuring student vendors, a silent auction, local vendors and more. Check out the poster below for more information:

Please remind your student to clean out their locker prior to the Holiday break. No one wants to come back to school to a locker full of a mold!
