LVR Weekly Update - Jan182026

Hello LVR families,

Well, it has been a busy two weeks back at LV Rogers. I can’t believe that we only have a week left in semester 1! Speaking of semester turn around, the Caf will be closed January 20th - Feb 17th to prepare for the next semester’s students. Please plan accordingly. The 5th Annual LVR Student Choice Art Show is on now at the Nelson Library and runs until the end of February.

Exciting news, LV is starting a citizenship award! Staff will nominate students in grade 10 - 12 each semester to win an award based on one of the following 5 categories: Leadership, Empathy, Courage, Integrity, or Resilience. Students who are nominated at the end of the semester will be mailed an award right around when report cards are uploaded to the family portal. We will still have our top academic awards, but the new LVR Award will help us better celebrate all the amazing students at LV doing really great work for our school community. Take a look at the picture below for an example of what the award will look like. More information to come as well.

  • Foundry Fridays are at LVR! Check out their page HERE:
  • The last day of classes for Semester 1 is January 23rd. Report cards will go out to the family portal on February 6th.
  • Get your new LVR Grizzlies t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatshirts, on sale through the Rec Leadership class & the LVR office.
