LVR Weekly Update - 24Feb24
Good day out there, LVR Community.
Thank you to Ms. MacMillan for this week's pic and for hosting Ballet Jorgen at LVR yesterday. LVR’s Dance Academy students had the wonderful opportunity to watch Ballet Jorgen rehearse in our studio Friday afternoon. Ballet Jorgen will also be teaching a class to our dance students next Monday. We are grateful for our longstanding relationship with this company which has also included students participating in local performances and attending summer programs in Ontario. Ballet Jorgen is in the Kootenays for performances in Trail on February 27 and in Nelson on February 29. https://www.jorgendance.ca/events/list/?tribe-bar-search=Anne+of+Green+Gables
Tonight is the Coldest Night of the Year event in Nelson. To contribute to LVR's team, please visit https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/TeamFundraisingPage.aspx?teamID=1009490&langPref=en-CA. Thank you to Ms. Mobbs, Mr. McComb, and Rec Leadership students for taking the lead on this.
This Wednesday, February 28th is Pink Shirt Day. Please wear as many pink articles of clothing as you can and stop by the Rec Leadership table to earn points for your House Team! (Let's go, Team Blue!)
Course Selection Forms & Course Code Lists for all grades for 2024-25 are now updated and posted at https://lvr.sd8.bc.ca/node/37657. We recommend families going through these and asking any questions you have.
